I/We formally object to the Beauly to Denny powerline development and demand a Public Inquiry for the following reasons:

  •  The cumulative, negative impact of so many lines and pylons in one area
  •  Potential health risk - especially to young children
  •  Unacceptable threat to property values
  •  Unacceptable effect on protected wildlife and their habitat
  •  Adverse effect on tourism, landscape and recreation
  •  Failure by the developer to fully investigate advanced techniques for burying powerlines
  •  The area will pay an unacceptable social and economic price for supplying power to Central Scotland and England
  •  The proposed and future powerlines must be buried as they pass through our communities, into and out of Balblair sub-station
  •  The amended environmental statement is inadequate.
